Heavy-Duty Reverse Chain for the Polaris General 1000

Upgraded reverse chain for the Polaris General 1000 transmission. Replaces the factory reverse chain with a heavier-duty unit designed to handle the increased loads from larger tires, portal gear lifts, and aggressive riding — preventing the chain stretch, skipping, and failure that the stock chain experiences under heavy use.

Reinforced Chain Construction
Built with thicker side plates and hardened pins compared to the factory chain. The reinforced construction handles the higher torque loads that oversized tires and portal lifts place on the reverse drivetrain — loads the stock chain was never designed to handle.

Heat-Treated Components
Chain pins, rollers, and side plates are heat-treated for increased hardness and wear resistance. Heat treatment extends chain life by reducing the metal-to-metal wear that causes chain stretch — the primary failure mode for reverse chains under heavy load.

Pre-Stretched
The chain is factory pre-stretched to remove initial elongation before installation. Pre-stretching means the chain maintains proper tension from the first ride instead of requiring retensioning after a short break-in period.

Direct Replacement
Matches the Polaris General 1000 factory reverse chain pitch, width, and link count. Drops directly into the transmission case with no modification — uses the existing sprockets, tensioner, and case components.
