4" Portal Gear Lift for the Polaris General XP 1000
Bolt-on portal gear lift that raises the Polaris General XP 1000 by 4 inches at each wheel. Moves the axle centerline below the hub centerline using a gear-driven housing — adding ground clearance without altering suspension geometry, CV joint angles, or ride quality.
Increased Ground Clearance
Adds 4 inches of ground clearance to the Polaris General XP 1000 at every wheel by lowering the axle centerline relative to the hub. The additional clearance lets the machine run larger tires and clear obstacles that would otherwise contact the frame, A-arms, or differential — without lifting the center of gravity the way a suspension lift does.
Gear-Driven Design
The portal housing uses a helical gear set to transfer power from the axle to the hub at the new offset height. Helical gears run quieter and distribute load across more tooth surface than straight-cut gears — reducing noise, vibration, and individual tooth stress under heavy throttle and high-torque situations.
Heavy-Duty Axle Shafts
Includes upgraded axle shafts designed for the increased leverage the portal housing places on the drivetrain. The axles are built to handle the additional torque multiplication and side loads that come with running larger tires on a portal-lifted Polaris General XP 1000.
Direct-Bolt Installation
Bolts to the Polaris General XP 1000 factory knuckle and hub locations with included hardware. No welding, cutting, or drilling required.
