Heavy-Duty Reverse Chain for the Polaris Ranger XP 900
Upgraded heavy-duty reverse chain for the Polaris Ranger XP 900 transmission. Replaces the factory reverse chain with a stronger, heat-treated chain that resists the stretching, skipping, and premature failure that stock chains experience under heavy loads and aggressive use.
Reinforced Chain Construction
Built with thicker side plates and oversized rollers compared to the factory reverse chain. The heavier construction resists the chain stretch that causes sloppy engagement, grinding noises, and eventual chain skip — the failure mode that leaves the machine stuck without reverse on the trail.
Heat-Treated Components
All chain components are heat-treated for increased hardness and wear resistance. The factory reverse chain operates inside a hot transmission case and is subjected to shock loads every time the machine shifts into reverse under load — heat treatment prevents the surface wear and fatigue cracking that shortens chain life.
Pre-Stretched
The chain is pre-stretched during manufacturing to remove initial elongation. A new chain that stretches during break-in changes the engagement timing between the reverse drive gears — pre-stretching eliminates the break-in period and delivers consistent reverse engagement from the first shift.
Direct Replacement
Matches the factory Polaris Ranger XP 900 reverse chain in pitch, width, and link count. Drops onto the existing sprockets and engages the reverse drive system with no modifications to the transmission — uses the factory chain routing and tensioner setup.
