The Polaris General XP 1000 is a crossover machine — equal parts sport and utility. It hauls gear, tows loads, and then hits the trails hard when the work is done. That dual-purpose abuse hammers the factory tie rods, and bent or broken rods are a common failure point. This Swaged Tube Tie Rod Kit replaces both factory tie rods with a design that is stronger and more durable than straight tube alternatives.
Why Swaged Tube
Swaged tube construction uses a tapered profile that is thicker at the stress points — where the tie rod connects to the steering knuckle and rack — and narrower in the center where strength is not as critical. This gives you maximum impact resistance at the connection points while keeping overall weight down. The result is a tie rod that handles harder hits and heavier loads without the added weight of a solid bar.
Upgraded Ball Joints
Each tie rod end features a heavy-duty ball joint with greaseable fittings for long-term maintenance. The hardened housing and tight tolerances eliminate steering slop and provide responsive handling whether you are hauling a load or pushing the General through tight trails. Protective boots seal out mud, water, and debris.
